Founded in 2012, Open Inquiry Archive is an independent online project aimed at publishing scholarly occasional papers, working papers, and position papers on topics related to culture, broadly construed.
OIA’s mission is to publish writing that is of interest across disciplinary boundaries among the humanities, arts, and social sciences. Papers may be scholarly investigations that focus on specific aspects of culture and the arts, or they may be speculative or conceptual explorations of culture-related topics.
OIA is an online publication, irregularly published throughout the year. The primary content of each issue is a single paper, or occasionally two or more thematically related papers.
Open Inquiry Archive‘s mission is to advance scholarship; it is not a commercial project. Authors pay no fees to submit or to publish work with OIA.
Submission inquiries: If you wish to submit a paper for possible publication in Open Inquiry Archive, please send the Editors a short Letter of Inquiry via our contact form. Please include your paper’s topic, a brief abstract, contact information, author academic background, and current title and affiliation, if applicable. Please do not submit full papers prior to communicating with an Editor. Please visit this page for more information and guidelines about submission and review procedures.
