About

Open Inquiry Archive is an independent online project established for the purpose of publishing scholarly occasional papers, working papers, and position papers on topics related to culture, broadly construed.

OIA’s mission is to publish writing that is of interest across disciplinary boundaries among the humanities, arts, and social sciences.  Papers may be scholarly investigations that focus on specific aspects of culture and the arts, or they may be speculative or conceptual explorations of culture-related topics.

OIA is an online publication, irregularly published throughout the year. The primary content of each issue is a single paper, or occasionally two or more thematically related papers.

All papers submitted to Open Inquiry Archive are subject to a review process. Papers are considered in terms of OIA’s publishing mission, as well as for quality of scholarship and presentation. The main purpose is to make new ideas and investigations available to interested readers. Please see the Submission Inquiries section below for more information.

Copyright and submission details:  Authors retain the copyright for work submitted to Open Inquiry Archive. By submitting a paper for possible publication, the author gives permission for OIA to distribute the work on the site.

Responsibility for the work remains solely with the author. Authors are free to re-use articles in other venues.
